A suspect has been apprehended by the Metropolitan Police Department following an incident involving a firearm in Southeast Washington, D.C. Officials reported that on Wednesday, the individual menacingly displayed a handgun at the victims located on the 2900 block of Knox Place, before fleeing the area.
Officers from the Seventh District swiftly arrived at the scene, and after a brief search, discovered the suspect hiding in a nearby residence, as per the MPD's official account. A standoff ensued, and the specialized Emergency Response Team was called in to manage the situation. Eventually, the suspect surrendered to law enforcement, and the arrest occurred without any further complications.
