Job seekers in Milwaukee have a couple of fresh opportunities to find employment as two job fairs hit local parks tomorrow, July 24. According to a media advisory released by the City of Milwaukee, Alderman DiAndre Jackson is alerting residents to a job fair at Sherman Park – specifically at the Mary Ryan Boys & Girls Club baseball diamond, 3000 N. Sherman Blvd – with a diverse array of sectors represented. From manufacturing, healthcare, retail, to transportation/logistics, employers are looking to fill positions 'right now' and will meet with potential candidates from noon to 3 p.m. Milwaukee.gov has hot weather safety tips for those braving the Extreme Heat Watch in effect to attend.
"The upcoming job fair is a tremendous opportunity for individuals who are looking for a new job or ready to explore a career change," Alderman Jackson highlighted in a statement on Milwaukee.gov, "I would encourage all job seekers to attend Thursday's event to meet with employers who are actively hiring and have plenty to offer." Furthermore, a companion job fair, also from noon – 3 p.m., will run at Washington Park, in front of the band shell, at 4599 W. Lloyd St.
The bi-location event underscores the city's commitment to employment accessibility, making sure that no matter where you're at in Milwaukee, opportunity is within reach.
