
A 7-year-old boy, Jamal White, also known as Baby J, was found safe after an abduction that led to an Amber Alert and a search by local authorities. According to WISN, he was reportedly taken at gunpoint near his home and later located in a residence nearby. The Milwaukee Police Department has arrested two individuals in connection with the case: a 14-year-old boy and a 38-year-old man.
Subsequent to the arrests, 25-year-old Corey Williams has been charged with several felonies including being party to the crime of kidnapping, intent to transfer property, taking hostages, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The allegations against Williams gained clarity after a video surfaced capturing the moment of the kidnapping. ABC7 Chicago detailed the original intent of the crime was to rob Jamal's mother, with Williams reported to be the driver on the day of the abduction.
Police have confirmed they are not looking for additional suspects at this time. The 14-year-old and 38-year-old individuals involved, whose identities have not been released, are awaiting the referral of criminal charges by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office, as JSOnline reports.
