Milwaukee’s German Fest, now in its 43rd year, is running from yesterday through tomorrow at Henry Maier Festival Park. The event features German and Austrian music, food, and KaRNEVAL-themed activities, with a costume contest scheduled for today, as reported by CBS58.
The Milwaukee Community Orchestra will hold its Summer Concert today at Homestead High School in Mequon. Over 150 community members, including WTMJ reporter Jessica Gatzow, are expected to perform, according to TMJ4 News.
German Fest will offer traditional items such as slow-cooked Spanferkel and chicken, along with red and white Kuhlers wine from Lakefront Brewery. Additional activities include pretzels, timber sports, and a Dachshund race, as per report by CBS58.
Tickets for the festival are available at the gate for $20. The event also features attractions such as the Glockenspiel and the STIHL Timbersports Championship, as noted by 12 News contributor Van McNeil.
