In infrastructure news, the city council threw its support behind improvements to the local sewer system with the 2025 Sanitary Sewer Lining Project; the initiative will rehabilitate roughly 8,400 feet of aged sewer pipes using a trenchless technology known as cured-in-place-pipe, and this move is expected to tackle the persistent issue of Infiltration and Inflow which should enhance system reliability and rein in treatment costs, funding for this $450,000 project will come from the Infiltration and Inflow Reduction Program funds that are part of the Capital Improvement Program.
