In the early hours on Tuesday, a traffic stop on Mitchell Road led to a discovery by the Ceres Police Department. Officer Hatcher saw a silver Ford sedan driving without headlights near Mitchell Road and Highway 99 and pulled the vehicle over. The driver was identified as Michael Anderson of Modesto, as reported by the Ceres Police Department.
After developing probable cause during the stop, Ceres Police Department Officer Hatcher searched the vehicle and found a loaded firearm. Further investigation showed that Anderson was legally prohibited from having firearms. The department stated, "Great work by Officer Hatcher in keeping our community safe!"
