Supervisors at the Monroe Police Department nominated the officer, who attended the scene where a 12-year-old autistic boy was in distress and displaying aggression towards his mother. Caught up in an environment where the child felt increasingly overwhelmed, the situation was delicately turned around by Officer Rogers. Nominated by his supervisors, they noticed his professional demeanor and the patience he exhibited, which stood out in the tense scenario.
