Details about a deadly shooting in Northeast D.C. emerged after police responded to reports of a disturbance on Fort Drive around 12:15 a.m. last Friday. According to an official statement by the Metropolitan Police Department, officers found 41-year-old Allen Sharpshire with life-threatening injuries. He later died, and last Saturday, the Chief Medical Examiner ruled his death a homicide caused by a gunshot wound.
