A grim discovery in Northeast has the Metropolitan Police Department on high alert as they investigate a homicide following a roommate disturbance. A man was found with life-ending injuries, and despite emergency responders' efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Details about a deadly shooting in Northeast D.C. emerged after police responded to reports of a disturbance on Fort Drive around 12:15 a.m. last Friday. According to an official statement by the Metropolitan Police Department, officers found 41-year-old Allen Sharpshire with life-threatening injuries. He later died, and last Saturday, the Chief Medical Examiner ruled his death a homicide caused by a gunshot wound.

The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in the ongoing investigation. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with tips is urged to call (202) 727-9099 or text 50411.
