The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is on the lookout for multiple burglary suspects following a string of break-ins at an H Street liquor store, and they're calling on the locals to lend a hand. According to the MPD's report, the thievery kicked off in the early morning hours around 5:10 a.m. on July 7, 2025, when three individuals muscled their way into the store located on the 1300 block of H Street, Northeast making off with an assortment of alcoholic beverages.
But the story doesn't end there. Another incident took place just a few days later, on July 10—this time featuring a lone intruder who, at approximately 5:50 a.m., smashed through a glass door and repeated the previous crime, snatching up more alcohol before beating a hasty exit.
Officials are urging anyone with information regarding the H Street burglaries to contact law enforcement rather than attempt to intervene. Individuals may call (202) 727-9099 or submit tips via text to 50411. The MPD is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of those responsible.
