A woman led Sacramento County deputies on a pursuit spanning more than 20 miles. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said the incident began around 6:07 p.m. at an In-N-Out, where the woman was accused of hitting a fast-food employee before fleeing in a vehicle. The chase ended on the UC Davis campus, according to KCRA.

A high-speed chase began when a suspect allegedly tried to ram a Sacramento County sheriff's patrol car but hit a civilian vehicle instead. The suspect then drove through downtown Sacramento, onto Highway 50, and into West Sacramento, crossing the Yolo Causeway before ending in UC Davis' parking lot 56A near the Genome and Biomedical Sciences Facility. A Caltrans camera recorded part of the pursuit. No injuries were reported. "They're extremely dangerous. They're innately dangerous to our deputies, our officers, the individuals involved in them attempting to evade us, as well as the citizens. I mean, I can't even express how dangerous they are," said Sheriff's Office spokesperson Sina Ghaffarpour, as reported by KCRA.

Authorities said she faces multiple charges, including felony vandalism for hitting a patrol car and a civilian vehicle, resisting arrest, and felony evading. Her identity has not been released, as mentioned by CBS News Sacramento. It is still unclear whether the In-N-Out employee she allegedly struck was targeted or what led to the initial incident. Officials are expected to review the pursuit to determine if proper procedures were followed.
