The Napa Police Department is in the midst of an investigation into what they are calling a homicide, following the discovery of a deceased male under the 3rd Street bridge near Soscol Avenue earlier this month. The incident, which left 47-year-old Noel Batres dead, has spurred an active search for information, as announced in a recent press release by the department.
Last Thursday, officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of an unresponsive male. Upon arrival, they found Batres, a local to Napa, without signs of life. The initial call to authorities occurred at approximately 12:55 PM, according to details released by the Napa Police Department.
Napa PD's detectives have since taken the reins of the investigation, treating Batres’ untimely demise with the gravity befitting an alleged homicide. The manner of Batres' death is currently withheld from the public.
