The Metro Nashville Police Department reported that 26-year-old Tyquan Jackson was shot in the head while in pursuit of suspects accused of breaking into his car. The shooting occurred just after 11 p.m. last Saturday, leaving Jackson in critical condition. He was later taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.

According to the investigation details provided by WSMV, Jackson was a patron at the End Zone bar, where he was alerted to suspects burglarizing his vehicle. FOX17 reported that security guards at a nearby apartment complex heard the gunfire and were the first responders to find Jackson injured in his car.

The MNPD's homicide detectives are now spearheading the investigation into the violent altercation. With no suspect or vehicle description available at this moment, authorities are calling on the public for assistance.
