
Last night, a shooting rattled the 4900 block of Oregon Avenue, as reported by the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD). In a press release posted in the early hours of this morning, LBPD detailed the incident that occurred on Monday, around 11:27 p.m. Responding to a report of gunfire, officers arrived on the scene to find a male adult with a gunshot wound. The LBPD blotter specifies that the victim's injuries were non-life-threatening, confined to the lower body.
Ongoing investigations are delving into the motives and circumstances that precipitated the shooting, while scant information remains. Per the blotter, Long Beach Fire Department personnel swiftly transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
