
The New York Police Department is seeking information about a burglary that took place on Staten Island. In a post shared by NYPD Crimestoppers, authorities detailed an incident occurring in the early hours of June 29, where an individual unlawfully entered a residential building near Zoe Street and Stobe Avenue.
According to the social media announcement from NYPD Crimestoppers, the suspect made their way to the rooftop at approximately 12:01 AM before descending to a balcony, where, they utilized tools to gain entry through a door. Once inside, the perpetrator reportedly stole cash from the closet of a 25-year-old male victim and left the premises in an undisclosed direction. In the communication released by the NYPD, the public is urged to come forward with any information that may lead to the identification or apprehension of the suspect.
The NYPD is actively seeking tips and has encouraged anyone with knowledge of the event to either direct message @nypdtips or call the hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The identity of the suspected burglar remains unknown at this time, and the investigation is ongoing. The police have not disclosed how much cash was taken, nor have they released any description of the suspect.
