An evening collision in East McKeesport has claimed the life of one man and left another injured. At approximately 6:49 p.m. yesterday, emergency responders rushed to the scene at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Penn Avenue, where a two-vehicle crash had just occurred. The drivers, both men, were taken to local hospitals promptly, according to WPXI.
Tragically, one of the drivers, 45-year-old Brian Jackson of Swissvale, succumbed to his injuries. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed his identity and pronounced him dead following the incident. The condition of the other driver, as of the latest updates, has not been disclosed. Each vehicle had only their respective drivers inside at the time of the crash, with no passengers involved, according to TribLIVE.
