A fatal shooting incident at a Pasadena restaurant left one person dead and another injured last night, according to reports from local authorities. Click2Houston detailed that the Pasadena Police Department received multiple calls just after 8 p.m. regarding gunshots at Bubba's 33, situated at 3221 Beltway 8 NB.
An individual was fatally shot and later died from the inflicted wounds, while a stray bullet struck an employee of the establishment who sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment; the chaos unfolded, citizens present attempted to restrain the shooter failing to secure him and he was able to flee the scene in a vehicle.
ABC13 confirmed that police are actively searching for the suspect who is still at large. The investigators involved in the case hold the belief that there was a prior acquaintance between the assailant and the deceased victim, the intended target of the shooting, and in light of this information, police have indicated that there is not an ongoing risk to the general public at this time.
