
A tragic incident unfolded in Galesville, Anne Arundel County, this past Saturday when a head-on collision between two vehicles resulted in the death of one driver and injuries to another. The accident took place around 12:14 p.m. at the intersection of Muddy Creek Road and Old Sudley Road. WMAR-2 News reported that a Toyota Prius and a Chevrolet Silverado were involved in the collision.
Local authorities have confirmed that a Toyota Prius, for reasons that remain unclear, deviated from its northbound lane and crossed the double yellow line, subsequently colliding with the Chevrolet Silverado traveling in the opposite direction. The driver of the Toyota, identified as 61-year-old Patricia Lynn Warren, did not survive the impact, as detailed by Eye on Annapolis. Warren, hailing from Shady Side, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 20-year-old driver of the Silverado, a resident of Lothian, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was promptly transported to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. This detail comes from the first responding units on the scene and was later shared by both reporting outlets. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department was among the first responders.
