An alleged drug dealer was arrested in Orangevale. The arrest took place at a local park, where deputies found narcotics, cash, and a scale commonly used in drug sales. Authorities also found several illegal firearms and a large amount of cash, as reported by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s North Division High Impact Policing team arrested 35-year-old Daniel Reed following an investigation. A search of Reed’s residence uncovered several firearms, including two rifles, a "ghost gun," and multiple handguns. Authorities also seized nearly $35,000 in cash. Reed, who is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition due to his criminal record, is being held at the Sacramento County Main Jail without bail, as stated by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office on their Facebook page, Reed was arrested in Orangevale with unregistered firearms, including a Colt .45 handgun and a Glock 19X, along with loaded magazines, ammunition, fentanyl, and methamphetamine. His booking photo cannot be released under California law, and he is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
