Residents of a Pasadena neighborhood were shaken from sleep by a disturbing new TikTok trend leading to property damage and an intense police response. Two young teens, aged 13 and 14, have been apprehended following the alarming incidents on Sutherland Court. The actions of the youths, linked to a "door kick" challenge circulating on TikTok, caused evident distress and safety concerns among the community.

Candice Knight, a homeowner affected by the troubling activity, detailed her experience to WBALTV. Describing the chaos of the ordeal, Knight said, "It was 3 o'clock in the morning, and I woke up to 'boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.'" With fear gripping her heart, thinking it could be a home invasion, Knight protected her son and prepared to defend her home, possibly against worse threats than a kicked door.

The incident, which Knight feared at the time was a home invasion, was captured on nearby surveillance footage. A neighbor's Ring camera recorded the suspects coordinating their attack in the quiet of the night. "No, back kick. 3, 2, 1, go!" one could be heard instructing the other. According to FOX Baltimore, Police Spokesman Justin Mulcahy aligns these acts with the nation-sweeping TikTok challenge, recognizing the severe repercussions it could elicit.

Police in Pasadena quickly responded and used dogs to track the suspects to Old Crown Drive. The teens, who now face charges of attempted burglary and property damage.
