
The Philadelphia Police Department is requesting public assistance in tracking down a suspect involved in a recent package theft in West Philadelphia, with the incident prominently captured on private security footage.
On June 26, 2025, in the heat of a typical summer afternoon, security cameras filmed a male suspect as he casually lifted a package from a porch located on the 4800 block of Trinity Place, the theft occurring just after 2:00 PM, the suspect, whose actions have sparked both concern and frustration among local residents, then nonchalantly strolled in the direction of 49th Street, this according to official reports released by police.
The police have issued a caution to the public, advising individuals not to approach the suspect if spotted but to instead contact 911 immediately for safety reasons. Tips can also be submitted via telephone by dialing 215.686.TIPS (8477) or through an electronic form to ensure anonymity, in the quest to maintain community safety, all tips received by the authorities will be treated with confidentiality.
