
An early morning shooting yesterday in Pittsburgh's South Oakland neighborhood has left a woman in critical condition, fighting for her life. A spokesperson for Pittsburgh Public Safety disclosed that at around 3:30 a.m., officers received a call and were dispatched to the intersection of 5th Avenue and Craft Avenue, where they discovered the victim, as reported by WPXI.
The officers found a woman on the sidewalk, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The injured woman was promptly transported to a local hospital. CBS News Pittsburgh confirms her condition remains critical.
The ongoing investigation has thus far been handled by the city's Mobile Crime Unit, which responded to the scene to collect evidence and piece together the circumstances surrounding the shooting. However, details about the shooter or the motive behind the incident remain undisclosed as of now.
