
In the early hours of a seemingly calm summer night in Pomona, chaos struck on the corner of Monterey Ave and Eleanor St. According to a press release by the Pomona Police Department, a fatal hit and run occurred on Monday, June 30, 2025, at approximately 1:12 AM leaving an adult male bicyclist dead. Police officers and first responders found the man gravely injured in the roadway and efforts to save his life were made as he was rushed to local hospital. Despite their attempts, the victim passed away shortly after arriving at the medical facility.
The driver responsible for this tragedy has evaded law enforcement, slipping away from the scene in what has been described as a gray 4-door sedan, possible a Nissan Altima, or similar. The lack of accountability has left the Pomona community searching for closure and the police tirelessly working to bring justice for the unnamed victim. As the hit and run investigation continues under the keen eye of the Pomona Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team, the authorities are calling for public assistance.
