
A multi-charge arrest was made following an incident in Northwest Portland yesterday, involving a driver who hit two pedestrians. The Portland Police Bureau has identified the man taken into custody as 28-year-old Amin Noor Mohamed. According to a report by the police, Mohamed faces a slew of charges, including second and third-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and driving under the influence of intoxicants, among others.
Mohamed was transported to the Multnomah County Detention Center (MCDC) and was charged with twelve counts related to the incident. These charges also encompass failure to perform duties after causing injury, property damage, vehicle theft, and attempts to elude police by vehicle and on foot. Reports indicate that one of the pedestrians sustained minor injuries, while the other was seriously hurt. The police have yet to release further details on the conditions of the injured parties.
