
The Department of Water, along with North Shore Give, the Kauaʻi Emergency Management Agency, and the Community Emergency Response Team, will hold a "Community Preparedness Forum" for Princeville residents. The event will focus on disaster readiness, including response strategies for hurricanes and wildfires. It is scheduled for on Wednesday at the Princeville Public Library, according to the County of Kauai.
Stefan Swanepoel, president of North Shore Give, said the upcoming forum aims to prepare people for emergencies. “This forum is about empowering individuals and families with the knowledge and confidence to act when it matters most,” he said. The event will cover a range of emergency protocols, including alternative communication methods in case conventional technology becomes unavailable, as reported by the County of Kauai.
A free public event will provide instruction on CPR, AED use, emergency planning, and survival kit preparation. Attendees may receive a free 20-liter water storage container while supplies last.
