The Putnam County Fire Department has cause to celebrate after several of its members achieved significant certifications and licenses. Announced via a social media post, the department lauded individuals who have recently obtained their state fire commission certification as well as state medical licensure.
This recent round of acknowledgments serves to underline the members' continual drive to not only meet but also exceed the standards required in both firefighting and emergency medical services. Among those recognized were Collin Kirkham, for Firefighter II and Emergency Medical Responder, and Waldo Vasquez, as Firefighter II. The department's celebration extends to Dustin Jones, who was certified as an Aerial Apparatus Driver / Operator, as well as Jonathan Abboushi and Kyle Peters, who both achieved Fire Officer II status.
Emergency medical services are equally vital, and the department's post highlighted the accomplishments of Cayden Jacobs, Austin Tayse, and April Laferriere, all of whom emerged as Emergency Medical Responders. Moreover, Louis LaCour was credited for earning his Basic Emergency Medical Technician license.
The recognition comes at a time when the proficiency and readiness of emergency services are more critical than ever. The PCFD's post reads, "These important credentials reflect their commitment to excellence in both fire service and emergency medical care." The community now has even more reasons to trust in the abilities of its first responders, thanks to their ongoing efforts to effectively widen their skillset and improve the overall quality of emergency services.
Congratulations have poured in throughout the community, acknowledging the significance of this professional growth and the positive impact it will have on the safety and well-being of the public. With this latest round of certifications, the Putnam County Fire Department continues to demonstrate its dedication to safety and its pursuit of excellence within its ranks.
