Police in Queens are on the lookout for an assailant linked to a violent robbery in Jamaica, Queens. According to a social media post by NYPD Crimestoppers, a suspect targeted two male employees, ages 73 and 52, on the evening of June 14, inside 84-48 Manton Street. The assailant, who is still at large, brandished a firearm and demanded cash.
The confrontation quickly escalated, the NYPD report details how the suspect struck the 52-year-old employee multiple times in the head with the weapon. After the physical altercation, the perpetrator went behind the counter, seized $1,300, and fled the scene on foot. The robbery, occurring just before 10 P.M., has stirred concern among local business owners and residents alike, given the boldness of the crime and the use of brutal force.
The authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward as they continue to investigate the incident. As of now, no arrests have been made. The public is asked to help identify the perpetrator, who was last seen heading westbound on Manton Street.
