Last Thursday evening, the Raleigh Professional Fire Fighters Association reported a residential fire incident on Pointer Dr. According to a social media post, the Raleigh Fire Department was dispatched around 7:15 p.m. after receiving multiple calls about a house fire on the 5800 block.
Engine 9 arrived to find light smoke emitting from the first floor, but discovered heavy smoke on the second division, prompting an escalation to a working fire. The RPFFA provided details of the coordinated firefighting efforts, which included Squad 7 and Engine 11 in fire attack operations, and Ladder 14 alongside Ladder 22 performing search, ventilation, and utility control.
The post reports that the fire was quickly brought under control, with no injuries reported. The RPFFA noted their involvement in the response and affirmed their service to the Raleigh community. They also listed the fire and rescue units dispatched to the scene, which included B1, B5, DC1, ISO14, INV1, E9, E11, E27, L14, L22, and S7. The response followed the standard run card protocol for coordinating multiple units during such incidents.
