A 55-year-old man with a history of sex offenses has been arrested in Jacksonville, Florida, after being accused of trying to abduct a child in Daytona Beach. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, Timmothy Hall allegedly exposed himself to a minor and attempted to kidnap them on Friday, July 11, 2025.

The incident reportedly took place at a Daytona Beach store where the victim, whose identity has been protected due to their age and nature of the crime, told authorities the man flashed them and forcefully grabbed them by the arm before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, the child was not physically harmed during the alarming encounter.

Detectives working on the case discovered that Hall might be residing in Jacksonville. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office teamed up with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force to locate the suspect. He was found in his vehicle in the Arlington area on Saturday evening.

A coordinated effort involving JSO's Aviation and Canine Units led a felony apprehension of the suspect. This was not Hall's first encounter with law enforcement concerning inappropriate conduct involving minors. Back in 2010, he was arrested by the authorities of Hillsborough County, Florida, for lewd or lascivious exhibition with a victim under 16. Following that arrest, he resigned from his position as a medical assistant at the Duval County Jail and was subsequently required to register as a sex offender.
