Burbank Police have once again detained a man with a history of sexually inappropriate behavior, this time after reportedly loitering suspiciously in the women's department of a Nordstrom Rack and subsequently following a woman while attempting to sniff her at a Walmart. The suspect, 38-year-old Calese Carron Crowder, is a registered sex offender and was observed by officers via store surveillance on July 22 engaging in the act. Fox LA reported that Crowder was immediately detained.

Already infamous for a series of lewd public incidents, Crowder, currently on active parole with an extensive rap sheet, has once more found himself under the glare of law enforcement. Earlier instances of his misdemeanor, such as a viral TikTok post in 2023, which saw him at a Barnes & Noble store acting similarly, invited dozens of women to share their disturbing encounters similar to the suspect, Michaela Witter revealed when she posted the original video. "He needs to be put away for good," Candice Horry, whose teenage daughter was allegedly stalked by Crowder more than a decade ago, wrote on social media, as reported by KTLA.

According to a statement released by the Burbank Police Department, Crowder was found guilty of other offenses in the past, including burglary, robbery, indecent exposure, and was suspected of prowling. Despite his release from state prison for jail overcrowding and early jail release in Santa Clarita, Crowder's repeated offenses continue to surface.

The Burbank City Attorney’s Office has responded by filing one count of loitering with the intent to commit a crime against him, the bail for which has been set at $100,000. The ongoing investigation prompts anyone with information or any additional potential victims to contact the Burbank Police Department's Investigations Division. Crowder's next court appearance is awaited on August 1, once again drawing public and judicial scrutiny to a pattern of disturbing behavior in public spaces.
