The tragic discovery was made on Hirsch Road near Clinton Drive, a neighbor situated just east of downtown Houston. Police were called to the scene on February 12, after receiving reports of a suspicious package. A local honestly looking for scrap metal stumbled upon the cooler, leading to the distressing find of a human skull. It was only later that forensic experts at the Harris County Forensic Science Center confirmed the remains belonged to Williams, amplifying an investigation into a life cut tragically short.
Williams was last seen alive in Houston's Fifth Ward in April 2024. Her sudden disappearance raised immediate concern among her family and the local community. Previous reports, including a statement Williams's mother, Melissa Cashaw, gave to Click2Houston, indicate the depth of the family's worry: "We got very concerned when we did not see her for Mother’s Day. She would never miss Mother’s Day," Cashaw expressed.
The search grew more urgent after Williams missed important family events, especially when she didn’t show up on Mother’s Day, which worried her loved ones.
