Drivers on Atascocita Road might have noticed a bit more excitement than usual last Tuesday evening as deputies pulled over a man now facing his second round of Driving While Intoxicated charges. The driver, Demarious Dawson, couldn't evade the signs of inebriation that prompted deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office to administer the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. The results seemingly made it clear to authorities that Dawson's ability to operate a vehicle safely was compromised due to intoxication.
Dawson's mishap on the roadway led to more than just a temporary holdup in traffic. It unspooled his past, revealing a previous conviction for the same offense. "Demarious Dawson was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated. His bond was set at $500.00 out of County Court 5," as reported by Constable Herman's Office on Facebook
As for the constant constable's pursuit of safety, their message doesn't just end with an arrest report. The public is encouraged to keep tabs on local law enforcement activities and incidents through resources like the "C4 NOW" mobile app. Crime, arrests, safety tips, and traffic conditions are vital stats for engaged community members.
