
The Riverside County Sheriff's Office has closed the investigation into the death of 62-year-old Jeffrey Sperbeck, declaring the incident that led to his death on a La Quinta golf course as purely accidental. According to a press release issued by the department, the exhaustive investigation found no evidence of criminal activity or intent, and as a consequence, no criminal charges will be pursued.
Jeff Sperbeck, a resident of San Clemente, was involved in a golf cart incident on April 26 in the 53000 block of Humboldt Boulevard. Initially transported in critical condition, Sperbeck was later pronounced dead on April 30 due to the injuries sustained. The Sheriff's Office communicated their commitment to a thorough investigation following the tragedy, ensuring that actions would be taken based on the findings of the case. This incident has now been documented as an accidental death by the officials.
