A Rockville neighborhood is reeling after the death of 38-year-old Vincent De Porres Young II. On June 14, Montgomery County Police were called to an apartment on the 600 block of Blandford Street for a welfare check that quickly turned into a homicide investigation.
When officers arrived, they found Young with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he died at the scene. An autopsy later confirmed he was murdered.
So far, no suspect has been identified. Detectives are figuring out what happened and asking the public for help. Anyone with information can contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County anonymously. Tips could earn a reward of up to $10,000.
