Sandy Springs' twentieth will be commemorated with a limited-edition city logo, available on various merchandise for residents looking to demonstrate their civic pride. According to the City's official news release, these items will be up for grabs citywide at spots like CityBar & Café and Signature Events. Further festivity comes in the shape of the Turtle Walk on City Green, a local fundraising tradition, now featuring artistically decorated turtles from June through September. The Gallery at City Springs is also set to display children's artwork envisioning the city's next 20 years, with a public reception tomorrow.
In addition, Springboard Sandy Springs, an initiative of the Sandy Springs Civic Roundtable, has launched "20 Years Strong | 20 Ways to Connect." This program draws in community members through volunteer work and programs throughout the year. As per the information provided by the City's announcement, highlights include a Family Fun Day scheduled for September 20. Mid-July will see the opening of a special archive exhibit at City Hall, inviting visitors to delve into the history of Sandy Springs' journey toward self-governance.
Other activities slated for later in the year include the inaugural Celebrate Sandy Springs gala on October 9, hosted by the Sandy Springs Foundation and the city.
