In a concerted effort to uphold public safety, Santa Clarita deputies apprehended a parolee who had been on the run after allegedly assaulting a peace officer. The arrest took place in a hotel located at the 25000 block of The Old Road. The individual, wanted for weeks since evading a routine traffic stop and leaving behind a pair of loaded firearms, was secured without further incident.
Following the capture of the wanted parolee, law enforcement executed a search warrant, leading to the seizure of an array of illegal substances. Found in the hotel were one pound of narcotics, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, and PCP. according to a Facebook post by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station, evidence collected also pointed to the operation of a drug house and the orchestration of narcotics sales.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of a second suspect on charges of possession for sale and operating a drug-related establishment. Remaining in custody at the current time, the suspect's arrest signals the dedication of the SCV deputies in confronting local drug trafficking. In the same swoop, two additional individuals were cited for possession of controlled substances but were subsequently released.
