The Santa Rosa Police Department is actively seeking the public's assistance in the search for Joyce Kristin Albino, a 15-year-old reported missing by her parents last Wednesday. Joyce was last sighted at the SRJC Petaluma campus at around 11:00 a.m. the previous day. Concerns rose when Joyce left her class midway and failed to join her waiting parent at the designated pick-up time of 1:00 p.m., leaving her personal belongings behind.
Initial investigations by the Petaluma Police Department led to several leads that have yet to disclose Joyce’s location successfully. Nevertheless, the case has now been transferred to the Santa Rosa Police Department due to her residential connections to Santa Rosa. While the circumstances surrounding her disappearance are not thought to be suspicious, intermittent sightings have spurred hope that with further community involvement, Joyce might quickly be found. According to a social media post from Santa Rosa Police, several acquaintances believe they have seen Joyce in various locales across the Bay Area, including but not limited to San Rafael, San Francisco, and Redwood City.
A physical description has been provided to aid in her identification: Joyce is about 5 feet tall and weighs around 115 pounds. She has black hair that she may have dyed red and brown eyes. On the day of her disappearance, she was wearing a black "Pro Club" hoodie paired with grey bike shorts.
