The North Las Vegas Police Department is searching for Maxine Sykes, a 78-year-old woman who went missing on Monday. She was last seen at 9:02 a.m. on the 2900 block of Vigilante Court in North Las Vegas. Police shared the details on social media to ask for the public’s help, as reported by the North Las Vegas Police Department.
Maxine Sykes is described as a Black female, 5'2" tall and approximately 148 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a red “Sykes” family reunion shirt with gold lettering and blue shorts. She is believed to be driving a black 2008 Lincoln Town Car with Nevada license plate 452-G67. A photo of the vehicle has been shared online to help in the search. Sykes has medical conditions including diabetes, high blood pressure, and possible early signs of dementia. She does not have her medication or a cellphone with her, as stated by the North Las Vegas Police Department.
According to the North Las Vegas Police Department's Facebook page, Maxine Sykes is known to visit local casinos, Walmart, and Target stores across the Las Vegas valley. Police are asking the public to watch for her in these areas and to call 702-633-9111 with any information about her location, stating that "every second matters."
