In an act of communal solidarity, the Sevierville Police Department and the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office are convening for the "2025 Cram a Cruiser" event, their aim to gather educational supplies for local students and educators. Taking place today, July 25, and tomorrow, July 26, officials from both agencies will be present at the Wal Mart location at 1414 Parkway, Sevierville from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Community members are encouraged to contribute by donating new, and unused school supplies. Donation efforts are not confined to the Wal Mart's gathering — supplies can also be dropped off directly at the Sevierville Police Department located on 300 Gary Wade Boulevard, during extended hours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both days. "We're here to help our schoolchildren and teachers fill their school supply cabinets," SPD Lieutenant Rebecca Cowan expressed, in a statement obtained from the Sevierville Police Department's Facebook page.
