In the chilling early morning hours around 2:50 a.m. last Thursday, July 3, near Bartlett and Wood a few blocks north of Capitol Drive, law enforcement authorities were led on a pursuit that ended in Griffin being fatally shot by officers, during this exchange no officers were injured, and the involved officers, one each from the Glendale Police Department, the Milwaukee Police Department, and the FBI have since been placed on administrative leave as per policy. The Milwaukee Area Investigative Team announced Griffin's identity posthumously after the confrontation, as per WTMJ.
According to details released by authorities, Griffin has been implicated in a violent spree that left Truss dead and two others injured including a police officer. The Wauwatosa Police Department, on behalf of the Milwaukee Area Investigative Team, named Griffin as the suspect in the harrowing incident, as mentioned by TMJ4.
