
An unfortunate incident unfolded in Echo Park this past Saturday, as two vehicles collided and a pedestrian was struck, leading to multiple injuries among those involved. CBS News Los Angeles reports that the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the accident, which occurred around 6:09 p.m. on the 600 block of North Echo Park Avenue.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department's alert, a total of six individuals were injured in the incident with two, a 55-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man, being in at least serious condition—details regarding the extent of the injuries, or their life-threatening nature, were not initially provided, fire companies and law enforcement officers remained on the scene to manage the situation and control the traffic flow.
The four additional victims were taken to local hospitals and reported in fair condition; this group includes a 50-year-old man, a 43-year-old woman, and two boys, ages 5 and 9. The investigation into the collision's cause continues, with no further information released immediately following the incident.
