A small aircraft crash-landed in a field near Crosby this morning, triggering a localized emergency response from Harris County authorities. The Harris County Sheriff's Office reported to the crash site near 18411 Adlong Johnson Road, after a caller alerted them to the fallen plane. According to ABC13, the crash remnants were visible from SkyEye footage, adjacent to a body of water.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez confirmed that all occupants were able to safely exit the aircraft and shared that no injuries had occurred. This statement was supported by the Texas Department of Public Safety, which also noted that two people had been on board. Both agencies reportedly have begun to jointly investigate the causes behind this incident. A hazmat team, as a precautionary measure, was quickly dispatched to the crash site, according to a report by KHOU.
While the Texas Department of Public Safety is poised to take the lead on the investigation, details surrounding what led the aircraft to eventually come down remain scarce. Local deputies and emergency crews were last seen still at the scene, engaging in immediate response and assessment duties. As the agencies continue to sift through the debris and gather information, local traffic and activity around the crash vicinity may experience disruptions.
