Last week, an observant Solano Area Highway Patrol officer and their partner flagged down a black Dodge Hornet for failing to halt at a stop sign on Fairgrounds Drive, leading to a string of felony charges for the driver. After spotting loose marijuana in plain view, the officers conducted a search based on probable cause, which revealed a trove that included a loaded Glock handgun with a threaded barrel and extended magazine, a shotgun, and an assortment of narcotics. The sizable cache contained roughly 500 pills, promethazine, additional marijuana, wax, and cocaine. According to a social media post from CHP Solano, the driver was also under the influence at the time of the arrest.
On the heels of that incident, just one week later, the same arresting officer from the Solano Area, supported by the CHP Golden Gate Division Warrant Service Team, conducted additional investigations that led to another arrest of the same individual. Under the clouded skies that heralded an ominous day, a search warrant executed at the suspect's home allowed them to seize more marijuana, pills, and several additional firearms.
The repeat offender in question, found at his residence, was a convicted felon who thus faced another round of arrests due to the fresh evidence.
