Although the heat continues, Sunday is expected to be mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 98 and heat index values potentially reaching 109. Light winds from the west at 3 to 6 mph will provide minimal cooling. By Sunday night, there's a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
As the new week begins, Monday brings a slight 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, continuing the trend of occasional rain alongside high temperatures. The day’s high will be near 93 with partly sunny skies. By Monday night, partly cloudy conditions will persist as temperatures drop to a low of around 76 degrees.
Looking ahead, the NWS forecast shows no significant drop in temperatures for St. Louis. From Tuesday through Friday, conditions are expected to remain sunny and hot, with high temperatures approaching 99 degrees. Overnight lows will offer limited relief, staying in the upper 70s.
