
A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run incident on Monday night in Sacramento. Authorities received the call just before 9:30 p.m., and Sacramento Police officers responded to the scene. The victim was pronounced dead by fire personnel. The vehicle involved had already left the area. Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit and Crime Scene Investigators handled the investigation, collecting evidence and speaking with residents in the area, as reported by the Sacramento Police Department.
The Sacramento Police Department has taken a suspect into custody following a fatal hit-and-run on Fruitridge Road. Officers identified the suspect as 54-year-old Jordan Wan of Sacramento, who was arrested and booked on felony hit-and-run charges. The victim, an adult female pedestrian, has not yet been identified.
According to the Sacramento Police Department on their Facebook page, the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the identity of the victim, pending next-of-kin notification. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the "P3 Tips" smartphone app, and a reward of up to $1,000 may be offered for information that assists in the case.
