In a recent theft incident at Houston Premium Outlets, nearly $2,000 worth of sunglasses were reportedly stolen. Constable Mark Herman from Harris County reported that deputies were called to the outlets located in the 29300 block of Northwest Freeway yesterday, according to FOX 26 Houston.
Officials detailed that the theft occurred between 6 and 7 p.m., where an unknown suspect managed to get away with approximately $1,805 in high-value sunglasses. Despite the swift response from local deputies, the suspect remains at large, and efforts to identify the individual continue. Meanwhile, the local community is being called upon to contribute any helpful information that may lead to the suspect's capture.
The case is drawing attention not only for the brazen nature of the theft but also because of law enforcement's innovative approach to community involvement. Constable Herman's office took to their Facebook page, encouraging the public to download their new mobile app, "C4 NOW," which provides live feeds on crimes, arrests, and traffic accidents in the area.
Constable Herman was quoted as stating, "If you have any information regarding the identity of this suspect, you are urged to contact our dispatch or your local law enforcement agency," as mentioned in the Precinct 4 Facebook post.
