The tranquility of a suburban night in Edgewood was shattered by gunfire yesterday, as two individuals were shot in what police have described as a targeted incident. As reported by FOX Baltimore, the Harford County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived on the scene around 10:50 p.m. to find 24-year-old Malandra Respass and 23-year-old Daquan Futrell wounded in the 1600 block of Candlewood Court.
With aides and emergency medical services rushing to the scene, both victims were transported to local hospitals. Respass' condition was stable, but Futrell, after the altercation that had escalated into violence, remains in critical condition, as WMAR-2 News detailed from the investigation.
Detectives suspect that the attack was driven by anger rather than randomness, suggesting the violence stemmed from existing tensions among individuals who knew each other. The Harford County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation, delving into the intricate relationships at play in hopes of uncovering the thread that will unravel the events leading up to the shooting.
