The Metropolitan Police Department reported the arrest of a teenager after a recent robbery involving force in Southeast DC. The incident took place around 7:05 p.m. on Monday, near Cushing Place and L Street, where a group of suspects assaulted the victim and stole his shoes, as reported by the Metropolitan Police Department.
According to a statement from the Metropolitan Police Department, the 16-year-old male arrested hails from Southeast and has been charged with Robbery Force and Violence; however, there are still four suspects at large, with the Metropolitan Police Department disseminating photos and seeking the public's help to catch them, the victim was reportedly surrounded and attacked before being stripped of his footwear.
The case is still active, and Metropolitan Police Department urges anyone with information about the suspects—who are pictured below in photos released by the department—to avoid confrontation and instead reach out to law enforcement with any details that could help apprehend the culprits, potentially resulting in a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
