
Gunfire disrupted the relative calm of West Preston Street in Baltimore's Western District today, leading to one teenager hospitalized with a gunshot wound. Officers were called to the 500 block area around 11:28 a.m. after reports of shots being fired. On the scene, they found a 16-year-old boy in the back seat of a car, struck in the leg by a bullet.
The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed due to his age, was quickly transported to an area hospital. He is reported to be in stable condition. According to a statement obtained from the Baltimore Police Department's website, officials confirmed that Western District Shooting detectives have taken over the ongoing investigation.
