
A teenage girl was rescued from the Makapuu Tidepools in Hawaii Kai after she was injured and unable to climb back to the Makapuu Lighthouse Trail. Honolulu Fire Department received the distress call at 10:13 a.m. on Monday, and deployed six units with 16 personnel to the scene, according to the Honolulu Fire Department.
Honolulu Fire Department’s first unit reached the trail using Rapid Response Vehicles by 10:26 a.m., while a second unit prepared a landing zone for air operations. Crews reached the injured teen by 10:41 a.m., conducted a medical assessment, and provided life support before airlifting her to the landing zone.
A teenage hiker was rescued by the Honolulu Fire Department after experiencing difficulties during a hike. Fire crews conducted a coordinated ground and air operation to reach the teen, who was airlifted to a landing zone. Emergency Medical Services then took over care.
