Mulkey's credentials include his role as Director of Parks and Recreation in Tampa, a position through which he indirectly touched the lives of many, overseeing a substantial 200 park properties and up to 42 facilities along with a seasonal workforce that could swell to 900 employees. His tenure in Tampa was marked by significant undertakings, including organizing high-profile national events such as Super Bowl LV, and the NCAA Women’s Final Four—as reported by the City of Dunedin's official announcement.
In Dunedin, Mulkey's responsibilities will span not only the oversight of parks and recreational facilities but also the management of the Dunedin Marina, golf operations, and serving as a liaison for the city with the Toronto Blue Jays.
